Fairview New Homes confirms intent to participate in ‘Your First Home’ scheme

October 1, 2026

Following Saturday’s announcement of the Your First Home government scheme, Fairview New Homes has confirmed its expectation to apply to the scheme, pending details provided in the Budget, in order to offer its buyers every available opportunity to make homebuying more accessible.

We have supported tens of thousands of first-time buyers for several decades with homes built in strategic locations in and around London, designed to provide great value particularly for first-time buyers without compromising on quality.

Chris Hood, Sales and Marketing Director of Fairview New Homes said: “Three-quarters of our buyers in the past five years have been first-time buyers, so we know the challenges faced by them every day when it comes to building a deposit.

In fact, our data shows that the two most popular methods of support that aspiring first-time buyers want in order to make buying possible for them is: a contribution towards their deposit, or access to a first-time buyer scheme. With this in mind, we welcome the announcement of a new scheme designed specifically for those getting a foot on the ladder.

There are important details still to be clarified, particularly around household income limits and local property price caps which are especially important in London and the South East, where cost of living is higher. We look forward to reviewing the detail and expect to participate, subject to the final terms for both homebuyers and house builders.

Fairview New Homes has helped first-time buyers for 65 years and we proactively provide solutions and support to help make home ownership possible regardless of a government scheme. That’s why we launched the Save to Buy scheme in 2023 to help people move into their new home with just a 1% deposit. While we wait for further details on when Your First Home will be available from, our Save to Buy scheme remains in place."
