Homebuyers who are interested in learning more about London Help to Buy are being encouraged to come along to an event taking place in south London this weekend.
Fairview New Homes is hosting a dedicated London Help to Buy roadshow weekend at Venue, its development of new apartments in Anerley, SE20, between 10am and 5pm on both Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th August.
The developer is teaming up with Homes for Londoners – the campaign set up by Mayor of London Sadiq Khan – to talk about the full scope of London Help to Buy and how the scheme has helped thousands of Londoners make their move to a new home since February 2016.
Jeremy Gee, Main Board Director for Fairview, said: “We are excited to be taking our London Help to Buy events on the road and to be working alongside Homes for Londoners to give our potential buyers all the information they require on how to make use of the government-backed scheme.
“The expansion of the London Help to Buy scheme in 2016 has unlocked the door for so many buyers in the capital, who can now secure a 55% mortgage supported by a minimum 5% deposit, and make that all-important move onto the property ladder.
“Despite the scheme’s introduction almost three years ago, we still listen to many would-be homeowners who feel they require a more in-depth discussion on the benefits of the scheme, which is exactly why our roadshow events have been set-up.
“We look forward to welcoming our visitors to Venue over the course of this weekend from 10am each day.”
Fairview is building a collection of 1, 2 and 3-bedroom apartments at Venue, off William Booth Road, which is close to Crystal Palace and a 5-minute walk from Anerley station, where prices start from £350,000.
The apartments at Venue have been designed with spacious open-plan layouts, contemporary gloss white kitchens, integrated appliances, and allocated parking.
All of the apartments currently available can be purchased using London Help to Buy, the government-backed scheme which enables purchasers to buy a new home with a 5% deposit and a 55% mortgage.
The remaining 40% of the property’s price is provided as an equity loan which remains interest-free for the first 5 years.
Venue is located just a mile from the Crystal Palace Triangle, with its diverse selection of restaurants, bars and independent shops.
Overground services from nearby Anerley station reach Canada Water in 20 minutes, providing fast connections to central London.
Following Fairview’s Help to Buy roadshow in Anerley this weekend, the developer will host another Help to Buy roadshow at its Lexicon development in Harrow-on-the-Hill over the weekend of September 1st and 2nd.
Working closely with developers, local councils and housing associations, Homes for Londoners aims to accelerate the development of new homes in the capital and has secured a record £3.15bn of government funding to support the project.
