Fairview New Homes is building 54 apartments at its development – named Essence – off Crossway. The site was formerly occupied by a builders’ merchants.
The first homes are set to be released for sale in September, with residents set to start moving into their homes from December.
Jeremy Gee, Main Board Director at Fairview, said: “We are proud to be regenerating this piece of brownfield land and delivering much-needed new homes to this area of Stoke Newington.
“When complete, Essence will be a development of high-quality, contemporary new homes.
“We look forward to seeing the regeneration of this site progress in the months ahead.”
Fairview’s development will comprise a mix of 1, 2, and 3-bedroom apartments.
Of the 54 apartments being built, 38 will be sold on the open market, while the remaining 16 will be made available as affordable housing.
As part of the planning agreement for the development, Fairview will make financial contributions totaling more than £1.1m to support local infrastructure and amenities.
Contributions will include more than £840,000 which will be spent on education, transport, open space and other community facilities, and £160,000 which will go towards Crossrail.
