With Europe Day taking place on Wednesday 9th May, why not celebrate the occasion in style with a visit to an authentic European eatery?

Here, we take you through some of the capital's best venues for continental cuisine.

ScandiKitchen

This Scandinavian cafe stocks hundreds of authentic goods from Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway - enough to broaden the horizons of any foodie in London.

From Danish pastries at breakfast to Swedish meatballs in the evening, ScandiKitchen also sells its authentic produce online, so you can enjoy a taste of Scandinavia at home.

Jamon Jamon

A traditional Spanish tapas restaurant located in four different London hotspots, Jamon Jamon is so good, they named it twice!

Serving a wide range of small tapas dishes alongside other Spanish favourites such as paella and seafood, this restaurant is ideal for large groups looking to share a delicious meal. Tapas is a great option for foodie's who want to try a bit of everything!

Lorenzo

Since opening in 1985, Lorenzo has built up a reputation in Crystal Palace as the go-to place for top-quality pizza.

Boasting authentic Neopolitan food such as the house special panzarotti (filled pancakes with chicken, mushroom, peppers and cheese), Lorenzo even has a rooftop terrace to enjoy the views in the summer.

Plateau

For French fine-dining, not to mention stunning views of the London skyline, a table at Plateau in Canary Wharf is the place to be.

With an a la carte menu to get the tastebuds tingling, from 28-days-dried Chateaubriand to braised snails, Plateau is an experience not to be missed.

Testi Restaurant

Located in the centre of Stoke Newington, Testi is a traditional Turkish restaurant serving a mouth-watering selection of both meat and vegetarian dishes.

And with exotic decor throughout the restaurant, diners at Testi will feel like they're enjoying their meal in the heart of Turkey.
