As the short days and dark nights return to our lives, London is set to burst into wintry life throughout November.
Here’s our list of the best things to look out for in the capital this month:
In typical British style, November will kick-off with Bonfire Night on the first weekend of the month.
With 100s of firework displays to choose from, the headline act in London is set to be Alexandra Palace’s Fireworks Festival, in Muswell Hill.
Day of the Dead
For those interested in celebrating the Mexican custom of Dia de los Muertos, food brand Wahaca is hosting a Day of the Dead party between 2nd and 5th November at The Vaults, Waterloo.
Authentic music from Mexico will set the tone for a party including traditional rituals, performances, food and cocktails.
Lord Mayor’s Show and Fireworks
One of London’s long-established annual events, the Lord Mayor’s Show begins with an early morning river pageant at Westminster Pier and ends with a spectacular firework display.
For the best views of the grand finale, visitors can find a riverside spot near Blackfriars Bridge.
Southbank Centre Winter Festival
From Friday 10th November, the Southbank Centre will host its annual Winter Festival which is set to continue throughout the winter.
The festival will include shows and performances from bespoke acts, with an array of pop-ups stalls and a festive market available to peruse at visitors' leisure.
Hogwarts in the Snow
The Harry Potter Studio in Abbots Langley will get its traditional winter makeover from Saturday 18th November.
Christmas trees and a seasonal feast will be spread through the Great Hall, while snow and ice effects will be carefully applied by hand throughout the studio complex for an authentic winter scene at Hogwarts.
