From food and drink festivals, to celebrations of contemporary art and literature, there's no shortage of events to keep you entertained in the capital this October.
London Restaurant Festival
Now in its 9th year, this month-long festival is a celebration of the capital’s diverse range of culinary venues.
The varied programme of events includes restaurant-hopping tours, champagne gourmet odysseys, and chef-hosted lunches.
London Cocktail Week
Running from Monday 2nd to Sunday 8th October, London Cocktail Week sees 250 of the of the city’s best bars join together to serve discounted drinks.
All you need is a LCW digital pass, giving you access to £6 cocktails at venues across the capital.
Frieze Arts Fair
Between Thursday 5th and Sunday 8th October, Regent’s Park plays host to Frieze London, a showcase of work from more than 160 of the world’s leading contemporary galleries.
The event will also include an off-site music programme and a series of panel discussions, conversations and lectures.
London Literature Festival
This year’s London Literature Festival will feature talks by Tom Hanks, Philip Pullman and Annie Leibowitz, as well as a live reading of Nelson Mandela’s memoirs.
Taking place at the Southbank Centre from 13th October to 1st November, the festival opens with the 50th anniversary of Poetry International.
Africa on the Square
Returning for the 4th time on Saturday 14th October, Africa on the Square is a celebration of African arts and culture.
Held in Trafalgar Square, the event will include live music and dancing, an African market, food stalls and a fashion show.
