Father's Day is fast approaching and Dads up and down the country are awaiting their special treat on Sunday 18th June.

Here, we take a look at London locations where you could take Dad to celebrate the occasion.

Sports stadium tours

The capital is home to some of the biggest sports venues in the country, so why not treat Dad to a behind-the-scenes tour of one of London's sports stadiums.

Choices for tours include Arsenal FCChelsea FCLord's cricket ground, and Twickenham.

Afternoon tea for gentlemen

For a relaxed Father's Day treat, make an afternoon of it at one of London's afternoon tea venues.

Places are still available at Lord's cricket ground, or try the Great British Gentleman's Afternoon Tea the Mandeville Hotel.

London Transport Museum

Located off Tavistock Street near to Covent Garden tube station, LTM is perfect for transport enthusiasts - focusing on London's historic buses, trains and tubes.

Open between 10am and 6pm on Father's Day, entrance fee to the museum is £17 for adults and free for children under 16.

Speedboat rides

For adrenaline-fuelled fun with Dad, speedboat tours down the Thames are a rip-roaring ride.

Speed-lovers can choose between Thames RocketsThamesjet, and Thames RIB experience tours.

Cricket - Champions Trophy final

Hosted at The Oval, the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy final takes place on Father's Day.

The match, to be played between the top two teams in the competition, will start at 10.30am. Those who aren't able to buy a ticket can watch the game on large TV screens outside the venue and enjoy the good weather (hopefully).
