How to bring Spring into your home

With the seasons slowly changing, the trees, plants and flowers are beginning to shoot up from the ground to show the first signs of spring. Here, we take a look at how you can bring spring indoors and prepare your home for the new season.

Spreading artificial or low-maintenance potted plants around the bedroom, particularly on window sills and bedside tables, helps to bring spring to the fore in any interior colour scheme. Choose plants that have additional health benefits to ensure a relaxing and calming environment. Alternatively, use a pastel colour palette to bring a subtle, yet warming feel. Pastel accessories or floral pictures also helps to bring the spring season to your home.

Hang floral print towels from the bathroom towel rail and add a fresh-smelling candle with hints of freshly-cut grass and lavender to light up your springtime senses. Moisture-loving plants will thrive in a bathroom environment and will brighten up an otherwise neutral room. Hints of light pink and sunshine yellow accents will provide a pop of colour to wake up the senses every morning.

Dining room

Add greenery to your dining table set up without sacrificing your interior scheme, by using a colourful set of place mats or having a floral centre piece on your table. Potted plants are available from a variety of retail outlets with plenty of choice to match your existing interior colours and usually take very little maintenance.

Living room

The hub of any home, there is an array of options when it comes to adding a springtime feel to your living room. Make a statement by including a floral print feature wall, or add vibrantly coloured canvas prints onto your walls or mantelpiece.
