London is a culinary hotspot, and between the Michelin-starred restaurants and trendy pop-up stalls there’s a host of great restaurants for Londoners looking for a bargain.

Here are 5 dining experiences which won’t break the bank.

Pizza Union

Pizza Union first opened its doors in Spitalfields in 2013 and has since branched out to 3 locations across the capital.

The Italian pizza bar prides itself on its superfast service and with 12” pizzas starting from just £3.95, it’s easy to see why the small chain has become so popular.

The thin and crispy Roman-style pizzas are fire baked and ready in just 3 minutes.

Silk Road

Silk Road has not only gained a large following for its authentic, affordable Chinese food, it’s also received awards from both Time Out and The Guardian.

Spice lovers will enjoy the Sichuan-style dishes, while the kelp or cucumber salads is a refreshing meal for vegetarians.

Popular meals include spiced lamb skewers, fresh dumplings and pork belly grilled over coals – a favourite from Xinjiang Province.

The personable service and friendly atmosphere is bettered only by the charcoal-grilled kebab meats and punchy vegetable sides. There is a range of vegan and gluten-free options available.

BaBa Boom also runs a variety of offers throughout the week, depending on what time you visit.

Visitors have been so impressed that the restaurant has made it into TripAdvisor’s top 20 restaurants in London.

While traditional fish and chips may be their speciality, Fishers also serves a variety of burgers, fish pies and vegetarian dishes.
