From boat races on the Thames to American Football at Wembley, there's plenty to keep you occupied in London this September


Totally Thames Festival

This annual celebration of the River Thames runs from September 1st to 30th and features a varied programme of river-inspired art, live performances and boat races.

There are 150 events taking place along a 42-mile stretch of the river, including the Tidal River Swim around Chiswick Eyot and the Great River Race from Millwall to Ham.


ZEE London Mela

Gunnersbury Park plays host to this spectacular South Asian festival on 3rd September, which celebrates the very best in Bollywood, urban and classical music and dance.

Enjoy Asian-influenced dance, music, street art, fashion and food throughout the day, and stay to witness the colourful fireworks finale.

Open House London

Enjoy rare access to some of the capital’s most iconic buildings during one special weekend.

On the 16th and 17th September, more than 800 churches, museums and other public buildings across London will be throwing open their doors to the general public and hosting a series of tours, guided walks and activities.


London Design Festival

Taking place between the 16th and 24th September, the London Design Festival will showcase cutting edge work by designers, architects, artists and retailers.

The annual festival will feature hundreds of large-scale installations, exhibitions and events at venues across the capital.


NFL London Games 2017

The NFL returns to the UK with the first of four games to be held in London this September and autumn.

Jacksonville Jaguars make their fifth visit to London to take on 2013 Superbowl champions Baltimore Ravens at Wembley Stadium on 24th September.
