The festival started on Friday and will run until Sunday this week - so why not get into the spirit by taking in some jazz at these excellent venues across the capital.
Vortex started life as a jazz club back in the late 1980s when music fans poured into Stoke Newington’s Church Street, creating an electric vibe.
That atmosphere relocated with the not-for-profit club to its new home at Gillett Square in 2005.
Throughout this year's London Jazz Festival, the club will host a selection of talented artists from across Europe, including Finnish jazz guitarist Niklas Winter and Norwich trumpet duo Some Things - see the website for full listings.
Ronnie Scott’s, Soho
Located in the heart of Soho, Ronnie Scott’s is arguably London's most famous jazz venue, with a host of legendary musicians gracing its stage since it opened in 1959.
See the full listings for the London Jazz Festival on the club's website - but be sure to book in advance, as several shows are already sold out.
PizzaExpress Jazz Club, Soho
