Fairview New Homes’ Charity Football Tournament Raises Over £30,000 for Alzheimer’s Society!
On Thursday 19th June, our fourth annual Charity Football Tournament at Fives Football Trent Park brought together 32 teams from a range of industry contractors, suppliers and agencies, including 3 teams of Fairview employees.
This year’s event saw over 200 players take to the pitch in a high-energy, good-spirited competition, with temperatures reaching 31 degrees - our hottest event yet!
Teams were split into 8 groups of 4, progressing into Cup and Plate knock-out rounds. Congratulations to our Cup winners EK Facades and runners-up EE Structures, as well as Plate winners John Rowan & Partners and runners-up Hadley.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped organise and run the day, and to the 20 sponsors - it couldn’t have happened without you.
We are pleased to announce that the event raised an incredible £30,480 for Alzheimer’s Society, our Charity of the Year. It was great to welcome Sarah James, Regional Fundraiser at Alzheimer's Society, to receive the cheque and share more about the life-changing work the organisation does.
Sarah spoke to participants and said “The amount raised for Alzheimer's Society by Fairview New Homes and the football tournament could fund one Community Dementia Advisor helping families and individuals such as those in Enfield directly impacted by dementia. A huge thank you to Fairview New Homes for choosing us as your charity of the year. Your support enables us to continue to give help to those living with dementia today, and provide hope for the future.”
Jon Spring, Managing Director at Fairview New Homes said “A big thank you to all the players who not only helped raise over £30,000 for such an important cause, but also braved the heat on the day. Thanks also to Dora for the organisation of another hugely successful event and the Fairview support team who helped run the event on the day.”
