Fairview New Homes, experts in building affordable new homes, has raised an incredible £6,600 for Essex-based mental health and trauma recovery charity, Kids Inspire, by participating in this year’s  Brentwood Half Marathon.

Taylor, Mark, Daniel and Kerry were four of approximately 1,700 participants to lace up their running shoes on Sunday 12th March, as they tackled the gruelling 13-mile route  to raise much needed funds for Kids Inspire.

With developments Nola in Shenfield and Brentwood Acres in Brentwood local to the event, Fairview were proud official sponsors of the Half Marathon and held a stand at the starting point along with the event’s other partners, handing out treats to runners and spectators.

Fairview has been working with Kids Inspire and supporting the amazing work they do for just under two years now, donating both time and money.

Fairview’s involvement with Kids Inspire began back in summer 2021, when they teamed up with the charity to deliver nutritious lunches and therapeutic activities to young children across Chelmsford. At Christmas, Fairview helped wrap, pack and deliver gifts across Essex to give children in need the Christmas they deserved.

A donation of £2,000 last year funded 40 sessions of therapeutic support for a child or young person. Two of Fairview’s staff members took part in the 5k fun run at last year’s event and raised several hundred pounds for Kids Inspire and Thurrock and Brentwood Mind.

Paula Ashfield, Kids Inspire’s Head of Fundraising, said: "The value of the continued support we’ve received from Fairview since 2021 really cannot be underestimated. Funds raised by the team running the Brentwood Half will go towards specialist services for children, young people, and their families who have experienced trauma or mental health issues.

“The cost of living and the impact post pandemic are both still causing a significant rise in referrals for our support. Challenges and fundraisers like this one are always so welcome in helping us to reach more young people."
