Remember, remember the 5th of November - it’s that time of year when the country marks the historic moment when Guy Fawkes tried to blow up the Houses of Parliament.

Here are our top picks for firework displays in and around London which will help you to mark Bonfire Night with a bang.

Byron Park, Harrow

Harrow’s fireworks display on Saturday 5th November is set to be out of this world, with an outer space-themed display all set to space-themed music.

Entertainment will run throughout the afternoon, with a fun fair, face painting and world food all planned.

The firework display kicks off at 7.30pm and organisers are advising people to book tickets online to avoid missing out.

Gates open at midday and entry is free until 4pm, so head down to Byron Recreation Ground early and make a day of it.

Allianz Park, Hendon

For the display at Allianz Park, the home of Saracens, visitors are being asked to don their favourite superhero costumes for an awesome display, inspired by some of your favourite comic book characters.

Warm yourself by the bonfire and enjoy the wares of the many food stands before the 7.30pm display on Sunday 6th November.

Wembley Park, Brent

Set against the backdrop of Wembley Park, Brent Council's annual firework display is a fantastic evening of entertainment for the whole family.

The display is on Sunday 6th November, admission is free and visitors will experience a spectacular display above Wembley Stadium.

While you're there, why not make a start on your Christmas shopping before the bonfire? From 2pm, Brent Civic Centre will be transformed into a Christmas market.

Blackheath, Lewisham

Blackheath Fireworks is a hugely popular display which entertains more than 80,000 people every year.

This year's display will take place on Saturday 5th November. Entry is free and a funfair will run from midday, with the display starting at 8pm.

Buntingford, Hertfordshire

The Bury, home of Buntingford FC, is hosting this year’s annual firework display on Sunday 6th November.

The club has organised a variety of rides for the kids and will also be putting on a tasty barbeque.
